Mt Vernon Sinkhole Repair

Spiniello, the company contracted to fix the Baltimore sinkholes, uses CIPP, or cured in place piping to strengthen and repair the existing sewer system.
This method is relatively new, uses the existing infrastructure, and does not require digging up the entire sewer system.
This cuts down on costs, and time; but many residents wanted to know- Is it Safe?

Residential Concerns:

A conversation from the Mt Vernon Neighbors Facebook about CIPP fumes, white fumes exit above the CIPP scene on Cathedral St.

My interviews with residents proved that the fumes from CIPP were causing problems...

I contacted Andrew Welton Ph. D. from Purdue University about his research on CIPP

He kindly sent me a slide deck presentation and some advice:

"I highly recommend that you avoid any contact with the white chemical plume emitted from CIPP operations. And, generally if you smell an odor that you are being exposed to something. I would avoid that area. "

I contacted Spiniello to see if they would disclose the type of material they use for CIPP,

They did not respond.
